A group of 12 architecture students from the University of Sheffield worked alongside members of the Future Buildings group to help create an identity, provide spatial arrangement ideas and produce documents that would represent Future Buildings and their aspirations.

There is a lack of long term and sustainable spatial options for cultural and charity organisations in the city.
This workshop brought together micro-small organisations whose goal has a social purpose to enable communities in Sheffield to thrive. We have all shared concerns and issues relating to the lack of support towards sustaining long-term occupancy and operations of buildings in the city centre of Sheffield. We want to explore together and individually the spatial and operational needs of all participants and the potential for a shared building with an ambition to make an accessible community, arts and cultural hub.
